- I am Welsh on both sides of my family. My grandfather and grandmother my father's side came from North Wales. I am a high school band director in a Chicago suburb and have traveled to Wales twice, most recently on a performance tour with my high school in March of 2008.

How did the Wales trip go? Is it likely that any choirs from Wales will make the reverse trip and perform at HF??
It's a great weekend for Welsh music in Chicago, Jon Langford & The Burlington Welsh Male Voice Choir will be at the Hideout (1354 W Wabansia Ave) on Friday night, The Old Town Folk Fest (4544 N Lincoln Ave) at 3:30 on Saturday and Ginger's Ale House (3801 N Ashland Ave) from 6pm on Saturday.
