Hello, this is the castle I can see from my home! [And it is manicured, mainly by the cattle grazing on the fields, or at least it was, until the farmer decided to keep them in the barn permanently, cruel bugger!] I have just, half an hour ago, fi...

Hello and welcome, Chris! I'm one of the site co-creators, with Ceri. Please let us know if there's anything you think of that would make this site more useful, more interesting or more fun.

I just finished Liminal and I'll be doing a couple of reviews for it. I loved it, a very subtle and almost soft story, I loved Geraint's friendship with Janice and how you built the appearance of it through the story, really nice.

Hi Chris...Portland Oregon here. Originally from Cardiff. Croeso i Americymru. Gaabriel and I created this site less than a year ago as a Social and friendship site for the Welsh, Welsh ex-pats and persons of Welsh descent around the world. It has grown considerably since its foundation and we would like to extend a warm welcome to you....our latest member. Feel free to invite any friends that you think would be interested in joining. The network has many features which allow people with a shared love of Wales to communicate and share photos, videos, links, blogposts etc and we will be adding new features from time to time. Make yourself right at home. Once again...

Croeso!

Hail and well met! Welcome to Americymru, soon to be your favorite website! Hopefully :-) Check out the various interest groups, and the videos and music... wonderful stuff. And there are a lot of nice people here too. Hope you like what you find! Blessings to you this day.

Profile Information

Relationship Status:
Married
About Me:
I’m a novelist, and a part-time university lecturer. My first novel, The French Thing (Carreg Gwalch, 2002), set in rural Wales against a background of animal rights protests, was a story about love defeated by competing visions of ethical and social reality. Liminal (Alcemi, 2007) goes into issues of memory, truth and fiction, the interleaved worlds of objectivity and the imagination.
I’m currently deeply involved in a new novel in which my characters attempt to derive the present from the past, a doomed enterprise.

What is your interest in or connection to Wales?
I'm Welsh on my mother's side; I've lived here more than twenty years; my children speak Welsh
