Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Heaven, God was missing for six days. Eventually, Michael, the archangel found him, resting on the seventh day. He inquired of God, "Where have you been?" God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds, "Look, Michael, look what I've made."
Archangel Michael looked puzzled and said, "What is it?" "It's a planet," replied God, "and I've put Life on it. I'm going to call it Earth and it's going to be a great place of… Continue

Glanaman and the Bont

Shw mar Irene,
Your face rings a bell. I'm probably older than you, but I used to visit Glanaman regularily as a child, and stay with my Uncle and Aunt at Abernant Glas farm. You probably know it.

I'm from the Bont, born and bred. My parents owned a chip shop there.

Hello Dilwyn, How are you. I gather you must be living in Sunny Spain. I spend quite a bit of time at my cousin's house in Marbella. Born in Velindre the next village to Cwnafan. Back in Port Talbot after a lot of wandering. Still a bit of a traveller. Are you tracing your family history, or is the fact that your ancestor came from Cwmafan something that you have known for a long time?

I have started my ancestry and the stuff it throws up is fascinating. Busy finishing a novel at the moment, which should have been finished in the New Year of 2009 but stuff happens in this case illness. Back in the fold now and swriting.

I hop to hear from you soon. Best................... Bee

Dil,
Great to hear from you again! Sunning it in Alicante so I gather! I think you've got it right! We sell your Jokes book at the mine! Saw Sian over the Carnifal weekend and see Dafydd often about town. Happy memories of those sailing trips years ago. It's not the same now, with Moc and Islwyn gone!!!What's life like in Spain? I might well be tempted. Very kindest regards,
Pete

Hello Dilwyn,

Thanks for your message, sorry for taking a time to answer but I have been away to Ireland and I just got back, I never went to Treforest Tec, I was born in 1960 so I would have been a bit young, I can just about remember the "beatles" in the 60's.
