- I'm a retired teacher who has done genealogy for about forty years. Since 2005 I have been giving presentations on Genetic Genealogy throughout the northwest (the use of DNA testing for genealogy) and on writing one's childhood memories and family stories. I teach two writing classes with Portland Parks and Rec.
I have traveled to Wales three times since 1999 and have stayed in one of my ancestral homes there which was occupied by my family from 1625 to 1698.
