Well, I teach crash courses in Welsh -- a very successful method for anyone really determined to put in the effort. Trouble is I'm in Wales in the middle of the mountains. But you can have a look. There is a lot of free stuff there too. http://www.m

About Me:
I was adopted at 5 years of age. I knew nothing of my biological family until a few years ago. I found out my biological mother's maiden name was Morris. I know now through my research that Morris is Welsh. I am now 56 years old. I found my whole family and will attend the first Morris Reunion tomorrow, 07-25-2009. That's what lead me to your site. My twin brother John's friend told me about your website.
What is your interest in or connection to Wales?

Janet,
I actually found a living relative, Elaine Prince, who came from a Mills family that was merged with her part of the Powell line several generations back. Our common ancestor was a Benjamin Powell who lived in the 19th century. We write back and forth now.

Good luck with your search!

Janet,
Try this link

Lots of people cooperate in this forum. I found a distant cousin who is still living; our lines converge four generations back.

Good luck,
Mark

Hi Janet ... Portland Oregon here. Originally from Cardiff. Croeso i Americymru. Gaabriel and I created this site less than a year ago as a Social and friendship site for the Welsh, Welsh ex-pats, persons of Welsh descent and Cymruphiles around the world. It has grown considerably since its foundation and we would like to extend a warm welcome to you....our latest member. Feel free to invite any friends that you think would be interested in joining. The network has many features which allow people with a shared love of Wales to communicate and share photos, videos, links, blogposts etc and we will be adding new features from time to time. Make yourself right at home. Once again...
