I need some help please. I have a gig next Friday and we want to tell a joke in Welsh and have one of the band members translate line by line. It should probably be a short joke so I thought I might use one of the following:

How does a Welsh bloke find a sheep in long grass?
Very attractive.

Why do Scotsmen wear kilts? So the sheep won't hear the zipper.

A Welsh lad came home from school and told his mother he had been given a part in the school play. 'Wonderful, 'replies his mother, 'what part is it?'

The boy says, 'I play the part of the Welsh husband.'

The mother scowls and says, 'Go back and tell your teacher you want a speaking part.'

Can anyone help me with the Welsh version of one of the above please?

Hi John...and once again croeso. The photo is fine. I admire a chap who remembers to wear his tie when playing the piano naked.

About Me:
Born in Abermaw, Gwynedd in 1949. Attended UWIST in Cardiff and emerged with a B.Eng (Electronics and Telecommuncations). Taught Physics at Whitchurch High School but joined IBM a year later and emigrated to Canada in 1977. Worked with IBM, Siemens, Nortel Networks and Measurement Incorporated which is where I am now. Measurement Inc. are based in Durham, North Carolina. My family includes my wife, Judith , from Chistelhurst Kent, my children, Mark, Rachel and Kingsley and my grandchildren, Alexander, Alison, Sunshine and Duncan.

I still publish the Barmouth news on the web every week to try and stay in touch with what's happening in my home town.

I like to take pictures, shoot video from time to time, play music, golf, swim, build things (boats, houses). I enjoy good movies, theater and I am a big Apple Mac/iPod (you name it) fan although I use Windows XP also.

I am currently in a rock band ( Black Dog Syndrome - see Myspace) where the band leader is my boss who plays guitar, I play keys (piano and synth) and we have sax, vocalists, bass, drums, lead guitar, trumpet also. We have a couple of gigs in Durham coming up in late September and late October. All the music is original. Lots of fun!

I was raised on classical piano so I still play the classics but I started learning about jazz a few years back and I'm hooked. It will take another lifetime to get reasonably proficient at it however.
