Helo Ken, I am glad to hear the history from a Native American point of view. Sad to say, the "history" textbooks used in the US school system are mostly propaganda made up to make the European settlers look good. In reality, they were the terrorist…

About Me:
I am a Shawnee-White Madoc Native American, possibly a descendent of Prince Madoc of Wales who came to America in 1170 with a group of Welsh settlers in 1170.
These Welsh became Shawnees, long before Christopher Coumbus "discovered" Haiti, and long before this Italian was ever born. My people spoke Algonkin mixed with Welsh up until about 1830, when Andrew Jackson and his type of whites destroyed our culture.

Hello Ken,

Thank you for the invite to the Pow wow and for your message. I would love to attend. Your heritage sounds very interesting and I'd like to learn more... Too bad about the Smithsonian, but there's other festivals you could attend. People love to hear stories of Welsh speaking Indians - check out my website when you get a chance, I'm a freelance producer/writer - www.serenmediaproductions.com
I'm a native Welsh speaker from Snowdonia, my grandfather grew up in Pennant Valley (Cwm Pennant), not far from Porthmadog.
Nice to hear from you!
Diolch,
