Llangynwyd is not far from us (about 8 miles) it has one of the oldest pubs in Wales there & i'm told it has some of the best bar meals around !!!
Are you planning to visit Bridgend & the Rhondda during your next visit to Wales ?
My Husband Colin (next comment down) has also done some work on his family tree, he's been able to go back to the mid 19C . Have you seen any of the census records you can get on line they are really interesting & also give an idea of the social condtions of the time ! better get going it's getting late over here.
