We were invited to a little St. David's Day tea this afternoon, and this is a photo of part of my contribution to the event. Welsh cakes, and some good, strong Collier's Welsh cheese. Thanks Ken and Robin for sharing your home and your hospitality!

I'm trying to locate any information on dress code or requirements for the 2008 NAFW in Chicago. Hubby and I are registered to go, and just wanted to make sure we comply with any requirements when we get there. Thanks!

Yes, I am an American married to a Welshman. But actually hubby told me just this morning that, while digging around into my ancestry, he discovered I also have some Welsh roots. Woot* He even located some old photos of my Welsh ancestors. So I guess I'll have to stop thinking of myself as just Welsh-by-marriage. HA.

Are you an American and you married a Welshman here?

Ceri and I are hoping to go to Wales next year. We want to go to DC for the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, which another member said is going to include Wales, and then from there to Wales. My former in-laws live in Virginia and I want to take my children to see them. Their great-grandmother is still living and I want them to see her at least once more. Then we'll hopefully all go and meet Ceri's family.

Tam, that brought a tear to my eye. *sniff I can't wait until we get to take our own photos of that beautiful paradise!

One of my dreams is to visit Hay-on-wye when we go to Wales. I'm also an online book dealer and every time I look at their website I get drooooool all over my keyboard! I am going to be in SO much trouble!

Wow, what a warm welcome! Thanks everyone. Our daughter hangs out quite a bit online with the Chicago Tafia and I think some Welsh located in Springfield, MO. Our Welsh relations came from the Swansea region, and still have some family there that we hope to get to meet one day.

Nice to make your acquaintance! Thanks for the link Tam. Will definitely check it out and have hubby check it out too.

Yes, I made it. It's my "incognito" pic. ha. Hubby is Welsh, and we are planning our first trip to Wales sometime in the next year or so, and are going to the North American Festival of Wales in Chicago this summer. I just love all things Welsh. :)

Welcome! I LOVE your graphic, did you make it? It's very cool! What would you like to find here on this site or in a Welsh American site?
