Mark,, Reading your comment again, how awesome that you were able to trace so many generations back . I am trying my best to trace my Morris roots to Wales. It seems no one knows yet but I will eventually find the link. Let me know how your research goes. Were you actually able to meet any of your relatives? I have been very lucky to have met so many of my biological brothers & sisters and extended family. I just attended my very first Morris Family Reunion. I felt so accepted and I loved every minute of it........................the only thing my biological mother died at 39 years of age. I never got to meet her and I don't remember her. My twin brother, John and I were placed in a Children's Home in "Uniontown, Pa. in June of 1957. We were 4 years old, by her request. She died 3 days later. Mark after all my searching I have collected so many photos and documents, I had to prove everything to myself.....................I look exactly like my mother. IT gives me chills every time I look at her picture. It's been an amazing discovery to say the least. We were adopted into a very loving family.

Thanks for asking about the research. I have a degree in Linguistics, but I worked for decades in the software industry, and my main research project (i.e. the one that pays most of my wages :) ) is about social, economic and environmental indicators and how to present them clearly (http://www.openindicators.org) in an open-source platform . A labor of love is with a project putting together an international auxiliary language called Ayola (http://www.ayola.org). In both cases, I'm working with a team. I've gotten some Welsh words accepted into the Ayola vocabulary, since we need to eliminate ambiguity and many Welsh words are unique in form. I'm also a radio programmer and like to throw music from small European countries including Wales, Cornwall and Denmark into the mix.
Thanks, Mark, diolch! One thing I'm hoping to do is to give some emerging Welsh filmmakers an opportunity to have their work screened in New York. Hwyl, Cary

Hi Mark ... Portland Oregon here. Originally from Cardiff. Croeso i Americymru. Gaabriel and I created this site less than a year ago as a Social and friendship site for the Welsh, Welsh ex-pats, persons of Welsh descent and Cymruphiles around the world. It has grown considerably since its foundation and we would like to extend a warm welcome to you....our latest member. Feel free to invite any friends that you think would be interested in joining. The network has many features which allow people with a shared love of Wales to communicate and share photos, videos, links, blogposts etc and we will be adding new features from time to time. Make yourself right at home. Once again...
