Thanks for the welcome!

Have you seen "Taff Wars". It's really funny.

Do you know of any expats societies or clubs in Southern California?

Shwmae Dave,

Diolch yn fawr. I will definitely look around the site ... I am waiting for some videos/sound clips from my choir to post (Llantrisant Male Choir) but have managed to check out a few other choirs already. This is a fab site!

Hwyl fawr,

Geraint

Hi Dave,

Good to meet you here, much more homely than myspace!

My official showcase is at the Stephen F Bar on Friday night, March 20 http://sxsw.com/music/shows/schedule/?a=show&s=84632 , but I'm doing my best to get as many additional showcases as I can. Anybody on here that can help I wonder?

If anyone is coming to Austin I'd love to meet up with you. Damn it, lets do our own showcase!!

Cariad mawr,

Amy

Dear Dave,

Thanks for your kind message concerning the possibility of the Morriston Orpheus Choir planning a trip to Chicago.

It is very good of you to offer help with promotions and contact with local concert venues.

The last time the Morriston Orpheus visited the USA was for a week spent in New York in October 2001. This trip was part of the UK with New York Festival, and took place just one month after the tragic events of 9/11 at the World Trade Centre.

In fact, our Chairman and Tour Co-ordinator were in Manhattan on September 11th, finalising arrangements for the trip when the planes crashed into the World Trade Centre. Fortunately both were safe.

The Choir sang at the Grand Central Railway Terminal, at The Town House in Huntington, Long Island, and, finally, at the spectacular Carnegie Hall.

The Independent on Sunday reported that the Choir received "five standing ovations"

It would be great for the Morriston Orpheus Choir to visit the USA again. For more information on our overseas tours please visit www.morristonorpheus.com

Best wishes to The Chicago Welsh Society

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Anybody know of any Price in NE Ohio in the late 1800's early 1900's. They were coal miners.

Sketty, eh? That's the posh side of town! I'm from Manselton. I visited Swansea just before Christmas; the old place still looks the same, although I must say, the city centre is improving and it did feel really good to be back :)

We are about 40 miles from Ft.Wayne. I am looking more for some genealogy help with the Martins from Wales clear back in the 1700's than socializing. However , I appreciate your thoughtfulness and trying to help. Marilyn
